Who we are and how we work
SY Technology 小袁科技 is a software business registered in Selangor, Malaysia (SY TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, SSM 202603269792) that uses the forward-deployed engineer (FDE) model to get AI customer service, custom systems and data integration live, used and measurable for SMEs.
Why on-site
We've run businesses ourselves and seen too much software bought and left to gather dust. The problem is never the software — it's that nobody wires it into the real workflow and the staff's habits. So we don't deliver remotely: our engineer works inside your company, sees how the work is actually done, and then builds.
The team
Engineers, product people and AI application specialists, with core members from large enterprises and software companies. We know how to build systems that hold up, and we know what an owner actually wants to see in a report. Full backgrounds are happily shared at the diagnosis.
What we've built
A complete customer management and collections system for a licensed moneylending company in Malaysia — customer files, approvals, repayments, collections, reports and ask-the-AI-for-a-number across phone, tablet and desktop, used daily by dozens of staff. We also built and run our own content and lead-generation workbench. Demos are available at the diagnosis.
How we charge
The diagnosis is free. We quote one-to-one afterwards, broken into core system, on-site engineering, maintenance and usage, and you can start with just the most painful workflow. No discounts — but there is always an entry point you can afford.
How we handle data
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Customer data stays on your own server or account; we access it only within the contract scope during the project and hand back all access when it ends.
What is an FDE (forward deployed engineer)?
FDE stands for Forward Deployed Engineer. The role was pioneered by the US data company Palantir: engineers stationed long-term at the client, adapting the software to the client's real workflow until it works. Through 2025–2026, AI companies including OpenAI and Anthropic have been expanding their own FDE teams — because what AI adoption lacks is never the model, but the people who wire the model into the business.
