How we handle your data
This notice is written under Section 7 of Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (including the 2024 amendments). The Act requires the notice to be given in the national language and in English; use the language switch at the top right for the Bahasa Malaysia version. The Chinese version is provided for convenience; where versions differ, the English and Bahasa Malaysia versions prevail. Last updated: 31 October 2026.

1. What we collect
What you give us through the website form, WhatsApp or email: your name, WhatsApp number, company name or industry, and the problem you want solved; plus technical records the website needs to run (time of visit, browser type, IP address, kept in server logs for 30 days). AI quiz answers are calculated in your browser and are not sent to us unless you choose "leave my number".
2. What we use it for
To contact you to arrange a free diagnosis, answer your enquiry and, with your consent, send material related to your enquiry; and to measure website and advertising performance (only when we enable the Meta Pixel, which the page clearly indicates). We do not use your data for unrelated purposes and never sell it.
3. Where it comes from
Directly from you (website form, WhatsApp, email, phone). We do not buy contact lists from third parties.
4. Who it is disclosed to and where it sits
Only the SY Technology engineer and salesperson handling your enquiry can see it. To run the website and communicate, data passes through our service providers (cloud servers, WhatsApp, email). If we enable the Meta Pixel, Meta receives visit events and hashed (irreversible) contact details under its terms, for advertising measurement only. We do not disclose to any other third party except where the law requires.
5. Transfer outside Malaysia
Details you submit through the form are stored on our server in Singapore (Tencent Cloud), which counts as a transfer outside Malaysia under the Act. By ticking the consent box you agree to this arrangement; the server is accessible only to our authorised personnel, with encrypted transport and access controls.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for 12 months after your enquiry closes, then deleted or anonymised; once you become a client it is kept as the contract states. You may ask us to delete it earlier at any time.
7. Your rights: access, correction, withdrawal of consent
You may access the data we hold about you, ask for corrections, ask us to stop using it for a purpose, or ask for deletion. Contact us on WhatsApp +60 13-662 6977 or at sytechnologysolution@gmail.com and we will respond within 21 days.
8. Providing data is voluntary
All data is provided voluntarily. Your name and WhatsApp number are needed to contact you — without them we cannot reach you, but you can still browse the entire website.
9. Security
The website is encrypted end to end (HTTPS) and data is stored on access-controlled servers viewable only by authorised personnel. If a breach likely to cause harm occurs, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner within 72 hours as required by law and inform you if you are affected.
10. Cookies and pixel
The website itself sets no tracking cookies; it only uses browser local storage to remember your language and theme choice. To see which sections are read and which buttons are used, the site records an anonymous event in its own server log (no names or phone numbers, nothing shared with third parties). Only when we enable the Meta Pixel to measure advertising will a notice bar appear, where you can choose "essential only"; declining does not affect your use of the site.
